What counts as a referral?
Someone new who uses your link or code and finishes signing up for Ditto. That means texting Ditto and completing their profile. Clicks alone don't count, and neither does someone who was already a Ditto user.
When do I get paid?
Roughly a week after your friend finishes signing up. Your Ditto dashboard shows who's signed up and how far they got; your Sova account shows what's pending, what's ready, and what's already been paid.
How do I actually get the money?
Through Sova, which pays out over Stripe. Set up your payout account at sovadash.com/join/ditto using the same email you claim your link with. That's how your referrals find your balance. You also get a Ditto dashboard the moment you claim your link, so you can watch them land from the start.
Is there a limit to how much I can earn?
No cap. Refer as many people as you like. The leaderboard exists because people go big.
Can I refer myself?
Yes. Claim your link, use it to sign yourself up for Ditto, and that counts. It counts once, since each person can only be referred a single time.
My friend signed up but I don't see it yet
It shows as started signup until they finish their profile, then flips to qualified. If they signed up without your link, we can't attribute it after the fact. The link or code has to be used at sign-up.
How am I allowed to share it?
However you want: texts, group chats, your own posts, flyers around campus. It's your link. Just don't invent features or prices Ditto doesn't offer.
Do I have to be a student?
No. Anyone can take part and share a link. Ditto itself is built for American college students, so that's who your friends need to be for a referral to qualify.
What about taxes?
Referral rewards may count as income depending on where you live and how much you earn. We can't give tax advice, so if you earn a lot, keep your own records.
